What is the dream? To travel the world, to see all those places I've dreamt of. To immerse myself in a culture, to experience it and learn from it, to give whatever I can. Most of all - to never have regrets about things I wished I had done or seen.
The dream is reality now. I've set myself free from everything. The house is sold and everything is put away.
On Saturday 5th August 2006 I'm flying out to Sri Lanka to start the first stage of my 'excellent adventure'. I'm going out to volunteer at the People in Need Foundation in Boosa, Galle, which is on the south coast. It was affected by the Tsunami and the community is still rebuilding itself.
For my first 12 weeks I will be with the children who lost a lot of what they knew. After that I'm supposed to be going to an Elephant sanctuary for a further 12 weeks.
After Sri Lanka who knows!
